Reasons to Paint Your
If your kitchen cabinets are old and ugly, you can
modernize your kitchen by having them painted to look brand new. Unless you're unhappy with the size
and layout of your cabinets, replacing them doesn't make sense. Most cabinets we paint are well built and only
need a makeover.
Before painting them, you can spruce up the
style by installing crown molding at
the top, or trim, on the sides of the wall boxes and island. Old knobs can be replaced with new ones. Simple
changes like this make a big difference after everything is painted.
Some painters brush and roll cabinets, but we spray
paint them for a professional finish. Brushing and rolling takes too
long and leaves stippling texture on the door fronts. Nothing beats the sprayed look.
Here are six reasons to
paint your cabinets:
It's true that buying new cabinets is very expensive. In
a large kitchen, the cost can go as high as $10,000, or greater. Having them
professionally painted is typically half the cost, or less, of

house with an outdated one. If you need to put your house on the market, but your cabinets are old,
painting them will update your kitchen and make it easier to sell your
Kitchen is Dark
Stained cabinets make a kitchen look darker and even
smaller in size. Painting them white makes a dark kitchen look much brighter. The brown stained
look was popular in the 90's, but not so much anymore.
5. The Previous Paint Job is
Maybe your cabinets are already painted, but whoever painted
them did a horrible job. You can always repaint them instead of buying new ones. Most homeowners are
happy to hire a professional painter to get the job done correctly instead of doing the work
More Color Scheme Options
There aren't as many creative options available for wood
stain, but with paint, you can choose different colors and schemes to make a kitchen look
amazing. The base cabinets can be painted a different shade than the top, or an island can be painted an
accent color. You can even paint the doors a different color than the wall boxes.
Paneled doors can be
glazed for a classy look. You can also paint them any color to contrast
decor, flooring, or furniture. Whites is trendy and goes with any wall and countertop color. Grey is also
